Future Eng. 110 students:

Thank you for taking your time and read all my blogs. Today is the last day on my Eng,.110 schedule and I will write down my last blog.

It is hard to believe that I already finish all blogs on my schedule, and get almost completely credits on this. The first day I got the schedule, I thought that I cannot finish it anyway. Now, it time for your to begin your blog, and I hope you can enjoy it. Seriously, seventy blog is not something fun for me. I wish you can do better than me in this class.

When I know I had to choose Eng. 110 in my first year, it was a bad news for me. I am not a good English writer, and comparing with those American classmates, I felt so disappointed about this class. However, I had no choice at that time. If you are also an international student, and you wish to pass this class, I will tell you something you have to do.

The first thing is go to the writing center. It is a really helpful place for your paper. They read you paper, and give out their suggestions. I went to there several time, and not just for external credit. They really help you improve you writing level.

The second thing is go to you instructor’s office hour, and ask his/her suggestions about your paper. This is the simplest way that you can get high scores on your paper. It is much better than you sit in front of your computer, and guess what you should write down.

In case of I forget to post blog again, I decided to post more when I still remember to do this……Looks like I am easily forget things during the final week.

In previously blog, I said that Tibet is my dream place. One of reasons that I want to go to Tibet is the cultures there are very special. There are many nations in China, and different nations have their own, special cultures. Among those cultures, I like to learn more about Tibet’s local cultures.

Some people told m that Tibet’s culture is very extremeness, but I think every culture has two sides. It depends on which side you choose, and how you treat the culture.

I do not know how to describe why I like Tibet’s culture; it is hard to clearly speak out something about spirits. When I watched those TV shows about Tibet’ culture, I was really moves. I cannot believe what they did for their belief. Every Tibetan has to go to one place(I do not know how to say it in English, sorry about that) once in their lifetimes. Not by car or bus, they walk to there, and every step they walk, they need to stand on knees once(……..you can try to guess what I want to say). The whole trip take about one to two years, and some people never finish this trip.

This is just a very small part of Tibet’s culture, and I’m not sure that he TV shows tell all truth. I hope that one day, I can really stand on Tibet’s land, and learn it cultures by myself.

The most scaring thing happened today is I just found that I forget to post my blog for today….

It is already three o’clock, and I need to get up, and began to write down my blog~~~I hope it still in time. For me the most scare thin is that I suddenly find out that I forget to do something on time.

         I do not have very good memories, so I always forget what I need to do. For example, I always forget to print out PPT and bring it to class. I forget to due my homework or I complete forget that I have the homework. Some people tell me write down a “to do list” on my scheduler, but I always forget to check the scheduler. Sometime I forget to do things because I do not want to do that~~ For example, I forget to pay my tuition fee this spring quarter, I forget to double check my surgery time, and almost need to reschedule one. I forget to pay my insurance, and I cannot remember my final exam’s schedule. I am “last minute” person who always like to do things in the last minutes. Unfortunately, I have a lot of things need to do in the last minutes. Just as now, I need to finish my blog, and I also need to get ready for my final exams. I have two papers need to due, and I’m pretty sure that I have other important things need to do in this week. However, I do not remember what I should do~~~

Many things happened in the world very day~~ and most of time, I felt no connection with those things happened in the world. Both of my parents like to watch news, and they also listen radios when they are driving. However, I thought that was the most boring things in the world. After I went into college, I had to read newspaper every day, because they told me that college student need to know what happened on the world~~~~( I hate this reason~~~) So now for me, everything appears on the newspaper has connections with me…… I need to see how the essay is and make a decision about read it or not.

The latest news for m id Japan’s earthquake~~~, all my friends are talking about it, they pray for Japan, post latest news on Facebook, and show me those videos that Japanese took during the earthquake. Several friends are studying in Japan, and they already called home. They are in safe place~~~ The first reason I watch Japan’s news because some of my friends are Japan fan; they like everything about Japan and they felt so painful about this earthquake. I also care this news because some of my friends are there. The third reason is because Japan is very close to my hometown. I hope everything is OK for now…… I need call my family and make sure that all my parents are fine.

This is not the first time I feel something about one news, but most of time, I do not have connections with news, so….. this is the only thing I can write for now

If I can be born in a different time period, I wish that I can born in about three hundred years ago in China. Some people do not like that time period because there are many limits on woman. They cannot talk with strangers; they need to stay at home and taking care babies…… But I still like to be born in at that time period.

I wish that a can have a normal people’s life t that time period. Living in that time period mean no aboard study, no calculus and no GPA, even no computers and no internet. Everything you feel familiar in this world have no meaning at that time. These are not important because if I born at three hundred years ago, I definitely should not know these things. If I live at that time, I should get up when the sun raises up and go to bed when sun goes down. I would choose to live in a small house next to lake. I would not wish too much surprise in my life because there were not too many entertainments at that time. I believe that I will “boring” life. Everyday get up, get ready for breakfast…… It sounds like a cool life for me because it is very calmness. However, who would know what will happen in that time. Maybe I do not need to worry about my GPA anymore at that time, but I need to seriously think about how to take care my families. Everyone will have hard times during their whole lives, no matter which time period you were born.

Everyone made a lot of decisions in their lives. No matter what they made at that time, you cannot take your decisions back. There are not too many chances for me to make decisions. And the biggest mistake was three age, I decided to came to America, and study here.

This decision is not a bad decision because it gave me a new world. I know more about the world, and I had many experiences that I would never have if I stayed in China. However, this is the biggest mistake I had made in my life. When I talked with my friend online, they always like to say that I was the luckiest girl in the world because I can study in America, but I always told them:”if you like my life, go to get an airplane ticket now. I will change my place right now. ” I do not like live in America, and I do not know why my classmates always think that America is the heaven. If I have a chance to go back to three years ago, I would never choose to come to America.

The reason that I would not come to America is because I do not like American food. Since I came to America, I began to realize Chinese food is the best food in the world. I was a fan of KFC and MC when I was in China, but I felt too tired to eat burger every day. Now I only eat fast food when I have no choice about my meal.

Different people have different definitions about friend. Friend is somebody can help you when you have a hard time. Friend is someone always tells you your mistakes. Friend is someone who likes to tease you but they never want to hurt you. However, there are huge differences between best friends and friend. Best friends are like family numbers, you guys maybe did not see each other for a long time, but you will never feel strange on her. You guys maybe began to have different schools, but you always can have same topic.

I have two best friends, one is now studying in England, and the other one is a designer. I did not see the friend who studies in England for about three years. We all have our own business to d, and we always have different vacation schedules. Sometimes, we were all in my hometown, but we could not go out together because we were too lazy to go out. However, we have similar taste, and we like to talk with each other online. We did not have too many chances to talk with each other because the time different between London and Ohio is about ten hours. When we have some seriously problems or hard times, we give each other suggestions and help each other solve problems. She is not only my friends, but also likes one of my family members. We do not need to see each other every day, but when II have problems, I know that she is there and I can hundred percent truth her.

My favorite place? I’m not sure about that. I like travel, so I like many places in the world. I also like to stay at home. If it is not necessary, I do not want to leave my room whole day~~ so my favorite place is my room.

I like stay in my room unless I need to go to get something outside of my room. If it is summer break, sometimes I can stay in the house for several days. I do not have too many things to do in my room. Just playing computer, reading books, and sometimes paining, because most of time I keep quite in my room, so my aunt sometimes forget that I was at home. One day, I went to grocery in the morning, and went back home at noon. I stayed in my room the whole afternoon, and enjoy movies on internet. When I finished my third movie, I found the outside was dark already, and there was nice smelling came from kitchen. I went to downstairs, and found other people already have their dinners. They did not call me because they thought I was still in shopping~~~ My aunt always forget that I am at home because the whole day I do not show up in front of her. Sometimes I called off and stayed at home, she forget that and went to school pick me up in the afternoon. Of course she cannot find me at school.

I do not know why I like to stay in my room, and it seems that I do not have too many necessary reasons that I must stay in my room. But I really like to stay there.

1．  My favorite food is seafood!!! I like seafood because my hometown is really close to sea. It only needs ten minutes from my house to the beaches. Since I came to Ohio, the first thing I missed is seafood. I like crabs, shrimps shells and all kinds of fish. My hometown’s fish is different than those fishes you see in sushi bar. Their meat are not orange. Most fish’s meat is white~~ I do not know how to tell you the taste of fresh fish. You need to try by yourself, and then you will never forget it!!

2．  I’m a cup collector~~~ I college different kinds of cups in different special days, such as my birthday, New Year…… I believe that each cup can have different stories in it. I also believe that each cup can help remember my life. I bought cup from different places, such as Mexico, D.C and local market. No matter expensive or cheap, I do not mind the market price, I like cups because it can help me remember my life. Now I already have about fifteen cups in America, and I can clearly remember where I bought each cup.

3．  Last one~~ I allergen lot of things. The most unbelievable thing is I allergen about fresh fruit juice. I mean juices from fresh fruits. Such as orange, apple and watermelon. My favorite fruit is banana, because it has no juice in it~~ I do not know why I allergen fresh juice, I went to several doctors, and they also could not find out the reason.

For me, English is the second language, so some English vocabularies have special meaning for me. For example, “forget” is compose by two words “for” and “get”. If you want to forget something, you must get something first. “Friend” is ending with “end”, it has a sad explanation which is friends always have an ending. Same as “Lover” is finishing with “over”. The most vocabulary I like in English is “Family”. The full name of “family” is “Father and mother I love you.” I want to talk about the word “family” and tell you my family.

         Since I came to America, family has a special meaning for me. When you keep stay with your family members every day, you do not know how important your family is in your heart. However, when you leave your family, and cannot go back so easily, you will find that you want to know every detail about your family. You even begin to interesting about what they eat for dinners and where they plan to go in weekend. You will suddenly begin to miss your family, and you will hope that you never leave them that far away. “Family” is a magic word for most people in the world. You know no matter what happened on you , your parents will not leave you, you know no matter how hard you life is, your parents will help you pass those problems. Father and mother love you and they do not ask for pay back.

         “Family” is not just the house you live with your parents, “Family” is you and your parents love each other.

When I was in high school, the most popular question wa “which college you want to go?” After I decided come to the OSU, most people like to asked “Which major you want to have?” it was not a hard question for me. When I was in middle school, I decided to study in college of business, no matter which college I would go. I like to learn business not because I want to make lots of money. I wish that one day I can have my own business, and I wish I can have business about food services. For now, my major is pre-business, and I began to learn different majors in college of business. I decide to choose accounting in the future.

The first reason I want o do accounting is because I think it is the basic things in business. No matter what kind of business I want to in the future, I need a good accountant in my company. Maybe I will change my mind someday in the future, but for now, I think that accounting is a very important part in business. For me, business is about making money, and accounting is learning about how to account your money.

The second I want to learn accounting is because it has changes to get internships. Accountants cannot understand what they learn till they sit in front of bunch of report forms. I wish that I can get internships in undergraduate school so that I can have more experiences in different kinds of business.

These days, when I turned on my radio in the car, the famous came out “it is only just a dream.” I like what they say in the song. Everything happened in our lives are like what happen in dreams. People will forget most of their dreams, just like people will forget their past. When day we wake up, and find they we are already sixty years old, we will remember what we did when we did forty years ago, and we will have smiles on our faces.

My life just likes dreams and what I had in my dream always are about something I had in my life. I had dreams about my old school, old teachers and old friends. However, the most interesting dream I had was about my daily life.

In that day, I woke up and watched my alarm clock. It was about eight o’clock. I decided to went back to sleep for five minutes because my first class was nine thirty. I fall in sleep very quick, and I had a dream. In that dream, I got up, went to washing my face, and brushed my teeth. I also went to down stair’s kitchen to enjoying my breakfast, which is not always happened on me. Then I went to change, and doubled check my pockets. I got everything ready so I open the door. It was really cold outside. The temperature was low and the wind was blowing leaves to the sky. It was hard to see clearly to outside, so I tried to open my eyes. OMG, I saw my room’s roof, and I was still on my bed. I watched my alarm clock: it was nine fifty already.

         I cannot remember since when Tibet became my dream place. Maybe it was the moment I knew this place from my geography textbook, or maybe it was the first time I saw pictures about it. I know Tibet is my dream place, no matter how much I need to pay; I will be there someday in my life time.

         I cannot clearly tell you why I like that place because there are too many reasons in my mind. I like there’s sky, clearly light blue. It has the shortest distance between earth and sky. I like their street, crowded and noisy. I like those huge mountains, and those small skal-bzang me-togs on the mountains. I like those Jingfan flies on the hills, and passing fortunes with wind. There are too many reasons to say why I like this place, and here are too many secrets on this land. I maybe like to go to the north-west part of Tibet, seeing those desolation deserts. I also can spend my whole afternoon in a small cafe in hotel’s down stair, enjoying a bowl of milk tea made from the Tibetan woman and spending my whole afternoon under sunshine.

         When people go to Tibet, they have to slow down their living tempo. On Tibet’s street, you cannot walk like you are in New York’s streets. There are only about forty percent oxygen exist in Tibet’s air (comparing with sea level oxygen amount in the air). In there, even run can cause death. In Tibet, you can slow down your life, and enjoy that city.

About ten years ago when I was still n lower school, I got free movie tickets, I want to cinema with my mom, and we watched the most impressive movie I ever had. The movie’s name is “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.”  After that Movie, I became a Harry potter fan. I caught up to read all Harry Potter books (there were four books published already when the first movie came out). I like the wizard word that described in books. Till now, I finished all books in Chinese. I began to read books in English; different languages give me different feelings. So the first boy l like is the little boy with glasses in books and his world.

I like to read J.K’s first four books. The first reason is those books are written before Harry Potter became a famous boy. The following three books became more stick, more expensive, and the stories are a little boring. Everyone pay attention on this boy and his turned to be divinable. The second reason is I was still at lower school when I read those books; I had enough time to enjoy those books. I reread them again and again, and finally I could repeat some important paragraphs in books. After I went to middle school, I only read the following books’ story. I only want to know what happened next.

Anyway, I like Harry Potter’s world because his world is different than ours. They can do something very easily. However, their world is not a perfect place. There are still bad person in his world, and that makes his world sounds like a real world that existed behind our eyes.

Today’s topic is a little weird…. It took me a little time to understand what I need to write. My first understanding was I need to write something about my pet, then I think it is may be something about my pet’s bad habits. Finally I know that today’s blog is writing down something made me mad...... or angry. Now you know: it is important to work hard on your foreign language, work harder on it.

Back to business, something made me unhappy…… I do not know how to day that. I do not like people be late. It is OK to be late because everyone will meet something emergency. If you will be late, call me and tell me what time you can arrive. Please don’t tell me you will show up in five minutes, and finally get the place after half hour. I will be crazy about that. I do not mind people late, and I do not need to know why you late. The only thing I’m unhappy is waiting. Maybe also have something need to do after meeting with that person, but the person’s late let me delay everything I need to do. It is also a very painful thing for me to standing there and waiting for somebody. I will keep watching my watch, and try to call millions times. I know this is a weird habit. I try to change it and I try to waiting for longer time when I have appointment with somebody. However, waiting for somebody is still too hard for me.

About three years ago, I made maybe one of the most important decisions in my life: I decided to go to America, and finish my high school here. I still can remember the date that I arrived America: Dec 26, 2008. It is a day that changed my life.

The fifteen hours that I spend on airplane meant a lot to me~~ The trip itself is nothing special. I spent fifteen hours with a Korea couple. They did not speak English, and I had no clue about Korean. So …… you know fifteen hours no talking at all. It was really painful for me. Other things during the trip were OK. I did not cry, I did not miss my hometown. In fact, I was so clam about my coming life: study in a new environment. Most time of that trip I was sleeping on my seat, and enjoy the meals on airplane. Sound like the trip was meaningless, and it was very boring, very normal. However, it was my first time came to America. At that moment, I did not know what this trip meant for me. The only thing I knew was that I would begin a new period of my life. I did know how it would be if I study in foreign language. I did not know how much I need to pay for my life. I do not mean just money, but also the time I need to study. After that trip, I average have chance to go back home one time one year. And I never feel clam in airplane. After that trip, I always told myself in airplanes; I’m coming home.

It is an interested question to think about born in a different timer period. I feel so comfortable in my modern life. I have computer games, and wireless, so I can play on internet when I felt bored. I like to take shower every day, and sleep in my soft bed. Now, I cannot image that one day I lost all these modern things in my life. However, if I born in another time period, I think I will still have a comfortable life, because I will never know what is computer, and why take shower every day.

I wish that I still can born in China, and born in old China such as born in Qing Dynasty or Tang Dynasty. There is no special reason that why I want to go back in history, maybe it is just because I watched too much TV drama these days. I want to know what really happened in the history. Maybe I cannot really join the history or change the history, but I can know mo=re details about old Chinese people’s life.

In the old China, maybe I was just a normal girl, and have a normal life. I will chose to live in a big city, so can see that kind of “top level” lives people have in that time. I can proof those descriptions that I read from books and TV dramas.

I do not know what kind of life I will have if I born in the old China, but the most important thing is enjoy my life.

I did not get too many gifts in my life, so it should not be hard for me to know which one is the best gift forever. However, I don’t know the answer for this question. The reason that I have a lot of gifts is because I like to buy gifts for myself. In those “important” days, such as my birthday, Christmas and New Year, I always choose to send myself a gift. In my mind, gift is what I want most. No one can know better that me about what I want, so I think the best are those gifts that I buy for myself.

The most popular gift I like to choose for myself is cups, or mugs. I like to collect all kinds of mugs. I think I already have about twenty mugs in my room. I bought mugs in normal stores, and in place that I have visit. Many years ago, my best friend give me a cup, she said the world “cup” have the same pronunciation with the word “life”. She gave me a mug; she wanted to be my life-long friend. After that, I began to love collecting mugs. I believe mug is not only for drink water, milk, and hot-chocolate. There are always stories behind mugs. I bought mugs from different places and in special days. I remember each single mug’s story. When I use different mug, I feel I went back to that place, and all memories about that place are still fresh.

In America, all most every student had a part-time job since they are in low school, but students have part-time jobs are not common in China. Most Chinese parents like their children only focus on schools’ work.

My fist work experience was about one year ago when I was still in high school. In fact, it was not a really job because I did not get pay back from that job. I chose to do it because need social serves hours for graduation. I worked in a weekend Chinese school as a teacher assistant. My duty was sitting in corner of the classroom, and help teacher change students’ homework. Most of students in that school were ABCs (America born Chinese). Their parents came from China, and they had been born in America. Each student had a practice book, and they needed to finish the homework on the book follow the schedule. At week end, I collected all practice books before they began classes, and change them.

It was a very interesting job, but it was not a easy one. There are about thirty practice books, and each book had about twenty pages needed to be change. I have to finish them before students leaving. My average speed was five seconds one page. I really like to change the vocabulary part in the homework because it was so easy for me. However，when I changed the “make sentence” parts, I always felt headache. It was hard to understand what those students wanted to say. I clearly understand my English teacher’s painful when she read my papers.

Snowing comes to Columbus again with frozen rain. I do not want to image how my car will be in tomorrow’s morning, it must covered by ice~~~ I hate to clean car in the morning.

Go back to today’s topic, one of my family members. I think this is a hard topic for me because it sound like my lower school homework. My teachers always asked us to write essays about my father or my mother, Art teachers asked us draw pictures about your family, and English teacher required essays about your family night. I have written all kinds of stories about my family and my family members, but I always forget my aunt. I did not have too much impress about my aunt till these three years I live with her.

My aunt left my home town about fifteen years ago. At that time, I was just six years old, and was a first year lower school student. I only saw my aunt three times in the coming ten twelve year. Most of time, my aunt lives in America, and now she is a nurse in the OSU medical center. When I first time came to America, my aunt helped me a lot on how to live in America, and how to improve my English level. It was a bad time for me because I always liked to against her. We used have different opinions on the same thing. She could not let me follow her way, and I believe what she said were wrong. We always have serious talking about living in America, and most of time, we did not get any resoult.

Welcome back, Ohio’s winter comes back today~~ cold morning and frozen rain. After several days’ nice weather, I thought spring is on the way, but I was wrong….. It seems that we still need to have winter time for a while.

         I don’t know how other people’s weekends are, mine was very poor. I stayed in library most of time, and tried to solve my economic homework. The only thing I got is that I almost forget everything learn before. It is good to know my situation so I can start reviewing. However, the bad thing is I will have economic midterm this week; there are not too much time left for me.

         OSU’s midterms are always surprise. The first thing is they are not “mid” term. I think midterm always happens in the middle of each quarter, and every subject only has once in one quarter. However, in the OSU, every subject has a least one midterm. More common thing is one subject has two or three midterms. When I talked with my classmates, they like to ask me “What are you working on now?” My answers are always “The coming midterm.” “Next week’s midterms” and “Midterms”. There are only two parts in my school life: midterms and final. Till one day, I find I finish my last midterm. I check my next week’s work on my calendar, it says “Final week”. So this is my school life, compose with midterms and final week, and a short break after final week.

I like to write a blog‘s title is “Anything you like” because there will be no limit about what I say. However, I also don’t like to talk about “Anything you like” because I did not know what to say.

The blog really let me remember my lower school.

At that time, my teacher asked every student wrote diaries every day. Some students did this homework seriously. They bought a nice notebook, and wrote about 100 words every day. However, I hated this homework at that time. I could not understand my classmates; how could they find so much valuable things to wrote down in their daily lives? My life was just got up in the morning, went to school buy bus, had classes, and went back home by bus. There was nothing special in my life. My teacher always only found one sentence in my daily diaries. Those sentences were “Feb, 24 I got up late today, but I still caught up the bus.” “Feb, 25 I saw a dog on my way to school.” and “There is too much homework today.” The most painful thing was my teacher sometimes had word required for weekend diaries, such as at least one page or two hundred words. I needed to sit in front of my desk for at least one hour to make up an interesting story for my diaries, and copied a beginning from other essays for my diaries.

Till today, I still not good at daily diaries, but I love to write down my stories. I mean those stories that really happened on me. I like to share my experiences, and also leave something for those new lower students who need stories for their diaries.

Thanks a lot, it is Friday again~~~ The most important thing is that we have a good weather in Friday. In campus, more and more student began to use t-shit and short pans, looks like we are in summer.

When I first time came to OSU, some people told me that the oval has a nickname: the beach. I know what it is called the beach. Students sit on oval and enjoy winter’s sunshine. It is still a little muddy on the oval’s grass, but more and more people began to play footballs after class.

I almost forget today’s blog because it was a happy day for me. I decided to stay in campus tonight so I can go to library tomorrow. It is painful that I need to study during weekend, but the most important thing is my midterm. I did very badly in the last one, so I must work harder for this one. Sometimes I think review cannot help me in midterm. Last time, I did review for the first midterm and I got B. I did a lot of review for the second one, and guess what? I got C for the second one. Thanks a lot~~~ we finally have several nice days in Columbus. Feel like spring is coming. Every one wear t-shits and some girls have shirt. The bad thing is that we will have rain tomorrow, and midterm comes next week.

Today’s blog is about everything we like~~ so I want to write down the recipe of cranberry-orange cider. It is a very sweet drink and I like to have it in warm day.

Here is what you need:

1 cup fresh cranberries

6 cups apple cider or unfiltered apple juice

2 cups cranberry juice

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

4 whole cloves

4 whole allspices

2 3-in cinnamon sticks

4 orange slice cut 0.6cm thick. (You also can add lemon and lime slices, I like to use lemon better than orange~~)

Prep time: 15 minutes (another 30 minutes for cool down)

Cook time: 20 minutes

Serves 8

How to do it:

1.       Place cranberries in food processor and pulse just until coarsely chopped.

2.       Place chopped cranberries, cinder, cranberry juice, brown sugar, cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, lemon and lime slices in Dutch oven. Bring to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer, partially covered, 10 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand 30 minutes.

3.       Strain cider through a fine-wire mesh strainer; discard solids. Keep cider warm serve with additional orange, lemon and lime slices, if desired.

Because of the fresh cranberry, this drink has a fresh red color. I like add a lemon juice in it so it tastes a little sour.

It was about two years ago, I sat in my high school’s café and enjoyed my first day in an American school. Several lower school students approached to me.

         “Excuse me, are you Chinese?” A little boy asked me.

         “Yes, I am.” I did not know why he asked me this question. It was not hard to see that I have an Asian face.

         “So you know Kung Fu, right? Can you show me how to fly? Can you fight with chopsticks?” He asked.

         I did not know how to answer those questions because I seriously did not know much about Kung Fu, and of course, I could not fly. All those students looked disappointed when I told them that not everyone Chinese person knew Kung Fu.

Most of my American classmates learned China and Chinese cultures from movies, especially Jackie Chen and Bruce Lee’s movies. In those movies, every Chinese people are familiar with Kung Fu. However, what happens in the movie does not equal to the real Chinese world.

In the beginning months at my new American high school, I kept be asked questions like “Do all Chinese people dress in those big robes on street?””Do you eat your pet dog?” After Disney’s Kung Fu Panda, more lower school students began to believe that all Chinese people knew Kung Fu, and we live deep in the mountains. I did not know how to tell them the truth: Chinese people have normal lives like Americans: Chinese people live in condos or houses, we use buses to go to work and use chopsticks for eat.

I wrote several blogs about my CP paper in the past several days. I felt that the CP paper is really hard for me because of the serious topic. It is hard to say timely, compelling and relevant when I worked my paper in my mind. I started part of my paper yesterday, and I found that it is much easier to work my paper on paper. I made a little change on my topic because history is too huge to writ. I cannot finish it in two pages.

My new topic is “What people see does not equal to what really happened.” I think this topic is relevant. Every day, people get information from different resources. We get up and read newspapers in morning, listen radio news on our way to work, reading online articles after work.  Thanks for technologies; we can know more about the world. However, parts of information do not tell people truth. When journalists write essays, they sometimes add their personal ideas into essays. Those ideas can cause misunderstanding. Sometimes, people like to believe what happen in movie, especially movies about other parts of the world. Movies are not hundred percent hundred percent truth about other countries’ culture. Directors only use culture information that can help stories. If audiences complete believe things happen in movies, they will easily misunderstand other countries’ culture.

The topic is relevant because more and more people need to know what they are reading. Readers like to believe what they read, but sometimes what readers read doer not happen on this world.

Finally we had a warm day in Columbus’s winter, but today is really windy. The day-time gets longer and longer. Spring is coming~~~

A compelling topic is attraction; readers like to read this essay and like to talk about this topic. In my memory, most history essays are bored. Several professor level people talk about their ideas about a period of history. They list all possible reasons and all elements that can affect results. They argue about whether the history is true or not and have million things to proof their arguments. In my personal idea, they negate other person’s history stories, and making up a new stories by themselves.

My paper is about history, but I want to talk about how people change history. I do not think it is an interesting topic, but I believe it will be better than those history articles. My first idea is making up a background for my paper. I wish that I can clearly describe a story about how people change sentences in daily life, such as people talks about gossip. I hope people have interested about this story and keep reading my paper~~

It is easy to let people read a story instead of a research paper. However, I think it is hard to point out my main idea in the story. Usually when people read a story, they only pay attentions on what happens in story and forget main idea. Just like when watch TV drama, we like to enjoy those fantastic stories and computer technologies instead of metaphors in drama. If I choose to write a story, I need work hard on my main ides.

Today’ topi is whymy essay timely. I think it is hard to definded whether my topicis timely or not. Some topics only can be fresh for a while, such as gossips, people likes to talk about all them, but when a new gosspi comes out, people will qiuckly forget the old one. Some topics are valuable, people keep talking about it.

My CP paperis about why people read story instead of history. I think this topic is timely because history is just around us. Pres. Obama is the first black president in history. What happened on us also can be aa part of history. We create history every moment, and we make up history everymoment. Especially oday, thanks for technologies’ help, more and more muak up history appear on internet. Journalists use photoshop to change pictures and videos and make up a story instead of truth. For example, Pres, Obama had a very popular video on line several months ago. In this video, he kick out the room’s door after his speech and leaves. Fortunately, government public the real video several hours later. History happens every single minute, stories come out every minute. Why people choose to make up stories instea of the real history can be the timely topic forever. Some people choose to use stories to attract raders’ eyes. Some people make up stories because they do not know what acturally happen. No one can really find a explaination for those storys and not one can say they clearly know what happened in history.

I do not know what kind of story I can find for the CP essay. I read sever classmates’ bog, and most of them found very clearly stories for their essay. The stories can help readers understand the writer’s topic, and make the essays interesting. However, history is a too hard to find a fit story.

   Maybe I can talk something in the really life. For example, gossip. One person know something and tell another person, the second person add a little personal idea about the thing and tell the third person. One by one, everyone add a little thing in the thing and pass it on. Finally the first person hears the thing again, and he never realizes that is he began this gossip. Sometimes people like to connect the stories with pictures. Everything looks real and everyone believes what happened. However, on one really ask the party what really happened on him. People believe the gossip and write the gossip in history. Just like making up a history story, no one can proof which part of history is true. Everyone has different understand about the same sentence. Even let a dozen people read the same sentence, people will put accents on different words and make the sentence different means. Sometimes change the word’s place and the reader’s ton can cause different. I maybe can make up a story about gossip, and show readers why we read stories instead of history.

When people want to complete understand about one thing, reading is not enough. People also need to find other things to proof what they read and use logic to analyze what happened.

         After read today’s topic, I began to think about changing my CP essay’ topic. It seems that I misunderstand my CP essay and my research paper. In my research paper,, I wrote too much personal stories and ideas. However, I cannot find some funny storied for my CP paper. Maybe it is because that my CP paper’s topic is not really a good one. (Why I choose such a serious topic?L)

         My CP topic is about people use stories instead of real histories. It I must find an anecdote for this topic, I may talk about how I use to waive those bad things in my life. This first is something that I do not want to do. For example, I do not like to get up in winter’s morning. So I always wake up first, and then fall sleep again. I will have a dream after the first wake up. In that dream, I finish all things that I need to do, such as wash my face, dress up and have breakfast… it is so sweet when I have the dream, but the bad things is after I wake up again, I find that I actually did nothing in morning~~~ Dreaming is really a good way to cancel those unhappy things on the to do list, but I never can make dream come true. I hope that one day I really can finish all those things in dream. Maybe dream-walk can help get my goat.

It looks like my anecdote is not match with my paper; I will try to find a better example, or a better topic.

It is a really bad week. The first thing was the bad weather. This is maybe the worst winter I ever had in Columbus. The snow in outside never melt in this winter, and we kept having snow almost every week. The most important thing is that we do not have snow day in college. I remember last Tuesday, all my friends says that they skating to classroom and skating back to dorm. My car was all covered by ice, and it took my at least one hour to clean all those ice. After snowing and icing, we got low temperature. This week, I even did not go to class, it was too cold outside~~ I wear my longest coat, and shorter the time that I need to stay outside. It is still too cold for me.

Maybe is because of the cold weather, I felt so down during this week. I kept working on the research paper, but it seems that I never can finish it. The paper is coming and midterms are coming~~~

Today’s morning, I had a very special dream. I woke up at seven o’ clock, and then I began to clean my face, dress up and go downstairs for breakfast. After all these things, I went out the door. At this moment, I woke up again, and found that I was still on my bed. The truth is that I woke up at seven o’clock, and fall in sleep again. I had a dream about all things I need to do in today’s morning.

There are two main examples in my research paper, the first one is about changing history books, and the second one is about plastic surgery. Mengtian already choose the plastic surgery, so I will write something about changing history for now. I’m not really want to choose this question because changing history is a problem than happened for a long time. Almost every country’s government changed a little history. It is not a timely topic. It is also not relevant. I do not know how to connect this topic with daily life. It is not my business, and I do not have that ability to change this fact. (Why I chose this topic??)

         The main ides about this essay is that many government change history books. Students are actually study stories in their history class instead of really history. There are two reasons for changing history. The first one is because governments think it is not right time to public the history. For example, government did research about Kennedy’s death, but they cannot public the result. Government need to wait and public the truth until all related people die. Russia usually publics parts of USSR’s history every ten years. Most of those history happened during WWⅡ, and have different stories. The second reason that governments need to changing history because they want to cover their old history. Japanese government changed history book so they can covered what happened in WWⅡ. It is funny that different countries’ history books have different descriptions about the same period of history.

Today I read an essay in the common place named What’s Yours is Mine. This article talks about copy rights that appear in our daily lives, and how people beak copyright.

When I first came to America, I found a book in the library; its name is Copy Right or Copy Wrong.” It also talks about how to protect copy rights. It seems that in America, copyright is a very serious topic. It is a way to protecting people’s property. Especially for singers and writers, own the copyright means they can make money from their production. As internet’s wildly using, people feels that it is hard to protect their copyright. A lot of stuff can be found online for free, and people like to choose those free stuff. For example, if you want to have a CD, you need to go to the store and pay for the CD, or you can go online, and download a free CD without copyright. Many company tried to protect their copyright. In the last several years, Microsoft decided to use black screen to protect their copyright. User who did not pay for the Windows system would got black screen for one minutes per hour.

In China, I had heard the world “copyright”, but there were very people like to pay for copyright. The production have copyright are more expensive than the fake stuff. A lot of company had to shut down because they cannot make enough money from their productions which they own the copyrights.

Today I read the article called“I Can See Stupid From My House .” It is a funny article because it talks about how people misunderstand English. I cannot complete understand all examples in the article, but I enjoy to read that.

There are two kinds of misunderstanding English. The first one is people only take parts of the whole sentences or change some words to lead readers misunderstand. We usually can find this on newspapers and magazines. This kind of misunderstanding is like a game we used play: the first people remember one sentence and pass it down. The last person always gets a completely different sentence.

Writers use this way to say what they want to say. Another misunderstand is want usually happen on me. When I did reading in my high school, there is a world “left behind” in the essay. I thought “left” means direction, just like left and right. So my understanding of “left behind” is somewhere in the southwest.

Let people misunderstanding the sentence is a way TV shows use to make their shows comedic. However, for some foreign language speaker, those jokes may cause serious problem.( It also cause problem on Americans sometime.) When we read an article or magazine, we must clearly know which part is true and which part is language “joke”. If we pay more attention on those “joke”, we will never catch the main idea of the essay, and we maybe can create a new essay by ourselves base on those “jokes”.

Finally, I finished my paper today. However, there are still a lot of problems in my essay. I still have a lot of work need to do.

First thing is I still not complete understand about how to cite. I read the OWL, but it cannot explain all my questions. This is my first time to work on a MLA style, the cite rules are completely different than APA style. Another problem is I cannot remember all essays that I read when I write my paper. When I began the cite sheet, I only can find part of those articles, but not all of them. Some information in my paper appears in different essays. I think I mixed them together and put in my essay. When I did the cite sheet, I do not know which essay I should cite because those information come from different place, but I put them in one sentences.

I also need to find more examples to support my essay. It seems that I used all things that I found in the draft one, and my paper is only about four pages long. I believe that I can find more details about MJ’s plastic surgery and other actors’ surgeries. I’m not a MJ fan, but think I will turn to be his fan after this paper~~ I hope that I can find more articles for my paper. For now, most sources come from internet, and I cannot know are those websites talks truth or not. Most website does not care what they talk about; they only want let people read their websites.

It is hard to say how my paper is going. I finish most parts to day, and everything makes sense for me. I do not know how about if other people read my paper. It looks like I write a lot, but there still have many details need to be changed. For this draft, I completely give up all my examples that I wrote in the last draft, because the tutor told me it is hard to find a connection between my examples. This time, I focus on one example, and tried to find some special examples below the topic (looks like this sentence does not make sense, you can try to guess what I want to say~~) I hope my example can directly tell readers what I want to say and help them understand my topic easily.  If it does not work, I need to restart all my work, and find a better example to sport my topic.

For English paper, I usually do not have enough time to change it again and again, because I know my English level. Revising by myself can cause more and more problem. I always like to talk my paper with English tutor, or American students. They always give me great suggestion on both grammar side and logical side. It is really hard to learn how to writing in English as a mother language L . I still have a lot of work to do~~~ I hope that I can be a really English writer after I finish this class.

It is so painful to start this paper. I tried to start several times, and deleted all things that I wrote. I tried to claim down, and let my mind make sense, but it does not work. In my English 108 class, I always liked to begin my work at last minutes. It is really a good way because ideas keeps jump out. Now I have no idea. I know it is not a habit that starts my work at last minutes because I have no time to proof my paper any more. I asked a lot of classmate, and they all said that they finish at least half of the paper. I only have two works on my word documents. I want to find a way that can help me star my paper right away. May be I will give up my essay tonight, and start at tomorrow.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, we have a dinner party in dorm. It is a small party with my friends, but we have a good time. I wish we can have New Year everyday~~

After finish all happiness, I need to go back to my computer, and start paper, I have idea about each parts of my essay, but I cannot find a way to connect each other together, and it is hard for me to really speak out what I want to say. I can speak around about my topic, but I cannot find one sentence to beat the target.

“In thousands human eyes have thousands Hamlet.” I do not remember who said that, but I have a deep understanding about this sentence. This week I went to writing center for several times, and every time, I can find new ideas from different tutors. Some tutors watched Dollhouse, they can directly understand what I want to say in the essay, and gave me suggestions about my essay. On Tuesday, one tutor told me that my second resources are too wide to handle, so I decided to focus my second resources only on one side instead of several topics. However, most of time, I meet tutors that never watched Dollhouse before. Let those tutors reading my paper is a great challenge for me. I can clearly know whether my paper make sense or not. Today, I met a tutor, and I need to keep talking with him so that he can really know what I want to say in my paper. That means I need to add more background about Dollhouse. I need to make sure that every single word at right place and every word means what they should mean. I need to pay attention on my vocabularies because there can be huge differences between two similar words. It is hard for me to do all these work because when I proof read my own paper, I can easily understand what I want to say. However, when American people, or other people read my paper, they cannot complete understand what I want to say.

I want to say “happy new year” to everybody~~ especially to Chinese people. Today is Chinese New Year, even we have a bad weather in Columbus, I still feel so happy today.

         Now I need t talk something about my research paper. It is hard to write such a long paper. I already have several drafts about that paper, but every time I read my drafts, I will have some new ideas about the essay. It is hard to write down what I want to say, I mean it is hard to let other people understand what I want to say by words. Thinking is one thing, and writing is another thing. When I went to the writing center, I need to sit next to the tutor, and tell them what I want to say in my essay. I can understand why those tutors cannot understand my essay, because I even cannot understand by myself.

         For me, the most important problem is let reader understand my idea and topic in my essay. If reader cannot understand what I mean then they cannot agree with my idea. I still have a lot of work need to do before I due the first draft. I need to read several times by myself before I go to the writing center. After the writing center, I need to change lots parts in my essay to make sure that American student can understand my essay. It is a boring work to redo the same essay again and again, but it is a very helpful way to improve my writing level.

In or daily life, everyone tries to cover their mistake, or trying to escape from those things they do not want to face. The familiar example is plastic surgery. Thanks for technologies, people can easily get a perfect faces by pay an expansive bill. Most actors, especially female actors like to use plastic surgery help them look younger. Most people like to see a sexy face than a normal neighbor’s face in cinema. Plastic surgery can help people get nice face for a while, but after the first surgery, people usually need more and more surgeries to keep their faces look pretty. Michael Jackson, the best singer in the world, has lots of great songs. His face’s changing is as famous as his songs. From Jackson 5 to the famous super star, Jackson almost changed his face every year. Especially for the last few years, all his plastic surgeries were trying to fix those old surgeries. (Fast, P263) Jackson changed his face because he did not want to look like his father. Some female actors like to change their faces because they do not want to look elder after several years. However, surgeries cannot really help actors keep their faces. More and more after surgeries will cause more marks on their faces. Plastic surgeries cannot stop time on people’s faces. People maybe can get beauty for a while, but you cannot keep beauty forever. The more important thing to keep beauty is learning how to have a nice heart.

The controversy about Japanese textbook affects the relationship between Japan and Korea for a long time. Since 1965, the Korea government first time asked Japanese government change their history textbook till 1980s, Japanese government began to change their textbook, there are too many things happened between two governments. (Yi, P82-83) It is hard to follow the really history, it is harder for historian to find out what really happened during wars. Most soldiers who have joined that war turned too old to remember what happened in the war. And historian can find very few government reports about those wars because no one can really remember what exactly happened under the war’s situation. For now, historians can still find somebody to proof the wars’ history, they want let to world know what happened on their land, Korea government wants Japanese student know what happened between Japan and Korea during the war. It is true that no one can waive the history, but it hard to proof that history as time pass. If people forget what really happened, it is same means that people waived this history in their mind. it is unfair for those countries who got hurt during the war, and it is not fair for most Japanese students.

I know that most countries like to change their history books. Most countries always have a completely different description about same history activities. Governments want their people believe that the government did the best choice for people during the war.

In the article, Hawking had Lou Gehrig’s disease, which can cause muscle lateral after he finished his graduate school in Cambridge. Usually people have this kind of disease only can live five more years. However, Hawking survived after five years. He kept study, and have several famous book about black holes and the beginning of time. (Folger, P47) It was hard for him to face this fact at the beginning. Hawking just began his journey about space, but he cannot keep on his journey. He cannot move his body as he wants, and later, he cannot speak any more. Nobody would say something about him if he gave u his study at that time, but he chose to face his problem. Hawking cannot move most part off his body, but he still has two fingers that can move and he still can think. He uses a special touch board to show that public what he think, and speak though a special machine. Form an inability person to a famous physic scientist, Hawking faced his hard time. He did not trying to escape from his disease, he did not trying to forget his inability and he did not believe that his inability can stop his study. Today, cheers follow Hawking wherever he goes. People like him not just because his theories, but also his courage to face his difficulty. Escaping or waiving difficulty is not the best way to solve problem. Maybe waiving the problem is much easier that facing it, but it cannot help you solve it.

Every country has­ the right to change their textbook.  The government can decide what their students going to learn.  On the latest Japanese high school history textbook, Japanese students need to studies something that never happened in history. “The textbook issue has become one of the major sources of diplomatic friction between Japan and other countries and has provoked widespread anti-Japanese demonstrations in Korea and China. “(Yi, 79-80) Japanese Government tried to waive what they did during World War Ⅱin China and Korea . In the latest history book, Japanese government says that they send armies to China during WWⅡis because the army was going  to help Chinese people got better life, and increased the whole  East Asia’s economic level.  However, the fact is the Japanese army built their own factories in China, and let Chinese labors worked.  They killed Chinese people for fun. Two Japanese soldier s had a match about who can kill one hundred Chinese people first. Maybe for Japanese student, history is just what they read from their books, but what really happened during WWⅡshould never be wavier. Japanese government thinks that they can easily erase what they did by their book, but they can never erase what really happened. The making up history cannot take place of what real happened. The better way for Japanese government is face the face and solve the problem. Lying to the student cannot help them to forget what really happened. Covering the problem by the textbook may cause more further problem.

I think it is necessary for me to go to the writing center, and ask for help. I have no other idea about my research paper, and I think my topic is too wide. Today, when I begin to write my outline, I found it is hard to find a really topic for my research paper~~

Today’s choice is a little special. During last several days, I read several different people’s different choices. All of them make choice for themselves. However, sometimes people have no choice. Just life Echo goes to the Dollhouse, they have no choice in their life.

Everybody know Neil Armstrong and Edwin Adrian, they are first people who arrived the surface of moon. However, there was another astronaut stayed in the spaceship. His name is Michael Collins. He needed to stay in the spaceship and got ready for Armstrong’s back. He missed the change to be the first person arrived on moon’s surface, but he chose what he should do. Everyone wants to go to moon and leave his name in history, but there always need someone to do those basic works in spaceship. Maybe Collins did not make this choice by himself, but he followed his duty. Not everyone can make a choice about themselves. Sometimes, for most people’s advantages, they need to give up their own choices. In our daily lives, not every single time we can get what we want to have. When you have a chance to make your own choice, do not give up this chance. When you need to give up your choice for other people, do not think it is not fair for you.

Today, when I talked with my friend about my English 110 research paper, I told her that I feel lost about my topic. I cannot find any fresh idea for my paper. I read several articles, and I only focus on one side: how people make a choice when they face a difficult time. This side is not enough for my essay, but I have no clue about any other sides of this topic. Then my friends said: “Do you remember what we read in last quarter, the essay about mountain climber? I think it is a good point for your paper.” She is right about it. I reread that article, and find some fresh ideas from it.

The article about mountain climber I read last quarter is talking about how mountain climbers made different choices. When mountain climbers face a huge mountain, some of them choose to climb to the top of the mountain, but some of them give up half way. Those climbers who go to the top get honors, and they also get more dangerous. A lot of famous climbers die on their way to the top or on the way they come back. They left their families behind. Their children need to face their childhoods without fathers (mothers). Those climbers who give up half way, they give up climbing not because they do not have the ability to the top. They give up because they think about their families. In fact, one of the give up climbers is the one who have been all 18 highest mountains’ tops in the world.

There is a special relationship between what you want to do and what you going to choice. People should know what is more important in their minds before they make a choice. The choice you make should follow your heart.
