The controversy about Japanese textbook affects the relationship between Japan and Korea for a long time. Since 1965, the Korea government first time asked Japanese government change their history textbook till 1980s, Japanese government began to change their textbook, there are too many things happened between two governments. (Yi, P82-83) It is hard to follow the really history, it is harder for historian to find out what really happened during wars. Most soldiers who have joined that war turned too old to remember what happened in the war. And historian can find very few government reports about those wars because no one can really remember what exactly happened under the war’s situation. For now, historians can still find somebody to proof the wars’ history, they want let to world know what happened on their land, Korea government wants Japanese student know what happened between Japan and Korea during the war. It is true that no one can waive the history, but it hard to proof that history as time pass. If people forget what really happened, it is same means that people waived this history in their mind. it is unfair for those countries who got hurt during the war, and it is not fair for most Japanese students.

I know that most countries like to change their history books. Most countries always have a completely different description about same history activities. Governments want their people believe that the government did the best choice for people during the war.

In the article, Hawking had Lou Gehrig’s disease, which can cause muscle lateral after he finished his graduate school in Cambridge. Usually people have this kind of disease only can live five more years. However, Hawking survived after five years. He kept study, and have several famous book about black holes and the beginning of time. (Folger, P47) It was hard for him to face this fact at the beginning. Hawking just began his journey about space, but he cannot keep on his journey. He cannot move his body as he wants, and later, he cannot speak any more. Nobody would say something about him if he gave u his study at that time, but he chose to face his problem. Hawking cannot move most part off his body, but he still has two fingers that can move and he still can think. He uses a special touch board to show that public what he think, and speak though a special machine. Form an inability person to a famous physic scientist, Hawking faced his hard time. He did not trying to escape from his disease, he did not trying to forget his inability and he did not believe that his inability can stop his study. Today, cheers follow Hawking wherever he goes. People like him not just because his theories, but also his courage to face his difficulty. Escaping or waiving difficulty is not the best way to solve problem. Maybe waiving the problem is much easier that facing it, but it cannot help you solve it.

Every country has­ the right to change their textbook.  The government can decide what their students going to learn.  On the latest Japanese high school history textbook, Japanese students need to studies something that never happened in history. “The textbook issue has become one of the major sources of diplomatic friction between Japan and other countries and has provoked widespread anti-Japanese demonstrations in Korea and China. “(Yi, 79-80) Japanese Government tried to waive what they did during World War Ⅱin China and Korea . In the latest history book, Japanese government says that they send armies to China during WWⅡis because the army was going  to help Chinese people got better life, and increased the whole  East Asia’s economic level.  However, the fact is the Japanese army built their own factories in China, and let Chinese labors worked.  They killed Chinese people for fun. Two Japanese soldier s had a match about who can kill one hundred Chinese people first. Maybe for Japanese student, history is just what they read from their books, but what really happened during WWⅡshould never be wavier. Japanese government thinks that they can easily erase what they did by their book, but they can never erase what really happened. The making up history cannot take place of what real happened. The better way for Japanese government is face the face and solve the problem. Lying to the student cannot help them to forget what really happened. Covering the problem by the textbook may cause more further problem.

I think it is necessary for me to go to the writing center, and ask for help. I have no other idea about my research paper, and I think my topic is too wide. Today, when I begin to write my outline, I found it is hard to find a really topic for my research paper~~

Today’s choice is a little special. During last several days, I read several different people’s different choices. All of them make choice for themselves. However, sometimes people have no choice. Just life Echo goes to the Dollhouse, they have no choice in their life.

Everybody know Neil Armstrong and Edwin Adrian, they are first people who arrived the surface of moon. However, there was another astronaut stayed in the spaceship. His name is Michael Collins. He needed to stay in the spaceship and got ready for Armstrong’s back. He missed the change to be the first person arrived on moon’s surface, but he chose what he should do. Everyone wants to go to moon and leave his name in history, but there always need someone to do those basic works in spaceship. Maybe Collins did not make this choice by himself, but he followed his duty. Not everyone can make a choice about themselves. Sometimes, for most people’s advantages, they need to give up their own choices. In our daily lives, not every single time we can get what we want to have. When you have a chance to make your own choice, do not give up this chance. When you need to give up your choice for other people, do not think it is not fair for you.

Today, when I talked with my friend about my English 110 research paper, I told her that I feel lost about my topic. I cannot find any fresh idea for my paper. I read several articles, and I only focus on one side: how people make a choice when they face a difficult time. This side is not enough for my essay, but I have no clue about any other sides of this topic. Then my friends said: “Do you remember what we read in last quarter, the essay about mountain climber? I think it is a good point for your paper.” She is right about it. I reread that article, and find some fresh ideas from it.

The article about mountain climber I read last quarter is talking about how mountain climbers made different choices. When mountain climbers face a huge mountain, some of them choose to climb to the top of the mountain, but some of them give up half way. Those climbers who go to the top get honors, and they also get more dangerous. A lot of famous climbers die on their way to the top or on the way they come back. They left their families behind. Their children need to face their childhoods without fathers (mothers). Those climbers who give up half way, they give up climbing not because they do not have the ability to the top. They give up because they think about their families. In fact, one of the give up climbers is the one who have been all 18 highest mountains’ tops in the world.

There is a special relationship between what you want to do and what you going to choice. People should know what is more important in their minds before they make a choice. The choice you make should follow your heart.

The stuff I read today is not an essay. During last two days, I read biological about Walt Disney and Hawking. Those people have a similar point: they are too famous. They are too far away from our normal lives. We agree their choice because we already see their results. However, most time in our lives, we cannot predict what will happen in our lives. Like most dolls in the dollhouse, they chose to be dolls because they do know how to make a choice in their hard times. For most of people, we need to think around before we make a choice. For example, you go to a new restaurant, but you do not know what to order. You want to choose chicken, but maybe beef taste better, and rid also looks delicious. Sometime people cannot make a choice just because they do not know what will happen behind their choices.

I read some essays about inability people. Not all inability people lost their ability when they born. A lot of people lost their ability after-born. It is hard for those inability people to fit their situations, but they chose to keep their lives and their have more colorful life then other people. I find a Chinese inability dancing group. They had unbelievable show in 2008 Beijing IPC. Twenty-one deaf dancers danced together. They cannot hear music, so they looked at their teachers in corner to following tempos. They practiced million times before the final show.

I do not know I can use this example or not. It is not an article, so it is hard to look at it as a research source. I like the spirit that inability people show to me. It seems that they have no choice about their lives, but they choice to do better than other people.

When we talk about some people, we all like to say:“See, how great this man is!” We pay attetions on their honors, their final products, but we never see what happened behind those honors. Just like taking pictures, people all show their smiling faces on pictures, but no one know what happen on those people, no one know how much work they pay for that happiness. No pains, on gains.

I’m sure that every one on this world know Mickey Mouse, and know that great cartoonist, Walt Disney. When I first time stand on the Disney World in Florida, I cannot find a word to drscrebe his work. He designed all those hotels, buildings and playgrounds before he die. All those stuffs still look in time after fifty years. However, just like what I said in the first paragraph, we like to pay attations on honors. Rome can not be build in onle day, Disnay could not get his honor in one day. Disney tried several jobs before he became a cartoonist. The worest time even no one wantted to hire him as a driver. He had his own small company to keep his cartoon dream. It took him about thirty years from be a new cartoonist to find out the irst Mickey Mouse. It is hard to describle every details happened during this period.

Everyone have a choice about their dreams, everyone have a choice about their lives, and everyone have the ability to work for his intresting. It is easy to say give up, but it is hard to keep your choice. Disney decided to be a cartoonist, he workd for his dream no matter what happened.

Looks like I lost everything that I post on my blog yesterday~~ I do not know what happened on my blog… … Maybe it does not like what I wrote. Anyway, I will redo all my research again today.

I read some biographies about Mr. Hawking today. I found them on different websites. Stephen Hawking is a famous English theoretical physicist and cosmologist. However, he is not just famous for his theories, but also famous for his illness. For me, Hawking is a hero not because his theories, I never read any of his books, those books are too deep to understand. He is a hero in my mind because his has neuron-muscular dystrophy (AIS). He only can move three of his fingers. In 1985, he had a surgery, and lost his voice. Mr. Hawking only can sit on wheelchair every day, but all those sickness cannot stop he keep go on his science research.

There always have too many things happened in our lives, there are a lot of choices in our lives. The most important thing is not what happened in our lives, but is how we make a choice about our lives. We can give up ourselves, and we also can choose to make some miracles. Mr. Hawking is disability, but his body did not affect his brain. When he knew he has the AIS, he was only twenty-two years old. Doctor said that he only can survive for two years. No one would say anything if he chose give up himself at that time. However, he chose to keep on his research program. His choice not only let himself became a miracle on medical history, but also let himself became the greatest scientist after Einstein.

Serious snow today, I do not want to go to school tomorrow~~ Roads must be very bad. I drove ten miles per hour today when I came back home in highway, and I completely did not know where is lanes~~

About the research paper… … it is hard to make it about seven pages long. I’d like to try it.

I watched Dollhouse from the beginning of the drama, and now I almost finish the first season. There are a lot of elements in this drama because dolls usually have different working environment. I want to talk about how people make a choice about their life. The Dollhouse Company make money by selling fancies, in another word, the company sells different choices that you cannot find in the real world. Rich people hire dolls to fix those imperfect places in their lives. You can get a perfect world if you can pay the bill. Most people chose to be dolls because they cannot find another choice in their lives. All these things happened around about how people make a choice, and how to face Hobson's choice situation. I know it is a very wide topic, but I will try to focus on one simple question.

For the examples’ part, I think I can find some famous people’s examples. They made choices in that moment, and that choice let them be famous. A lot of people have a poor situation, but their choices saved their lives. Walt Disney drew Mickey Mouse when he lived in basement. Hawking published his theories with two fingers. A lot of people have poor situation, but they made good choice about their future. I hope I can find some self-biographies in library, and see how those famous people made choice when they are in poor situation.

Blog 14：Headache~~

It is a little painful for me to re-watch an episode again when I already know the story in there. I always enjoy watch TV drama, but it is hard to find all those details in the drama, and let them be useful for me. All those words show on my screen just like pearls. I need find a line to line those pearls together, and make a necklace. I feel headache about this job.

Several pearls that maybe useful for my essay in S1E8

1.       Paul knows Caroline before she turns to be a doll. He maybe loves her because he has a dream about Caroline at the beginning. This relationship between him and Caroline let him go to research the dollhouse.

2.       Doctor is a little weird. She suggested let all doll go out, and she always care those dolls. Is she wants to release those dolls? Or she wants to have a test on those dolls? After Alpha’s accident, doctor looks different than before.

3.       Every doll has some unforgettable past, how can they face it if they did not join the dollhouse?

I want to talk about those unforgettable things happened in people’s life. Everyone has some poor situations in their lives. Some people made mistakes, and did not want to face them anymore. Dolls stay in dollhouse because they cannot directly face their past. However, Echo is different than other dolls. When Sierra, November goes to find their past, she decided to stay in dollhouse, and save other dolls. Her brain’s process should be let her face her past, but she chooses to go back. What actually happened on Echo? Did Alpha do something on Echo? How can she finally face her past? When you have no choice, what can you do? How to make a decision about those things that you do not want to think?

Dollhouse S1E9.

It is almost the end of this season, but there still have a lot of new things happen in the dollhouse every day. I even cannot guess the result from those episodes that I watched before. America dramas always have more than one season, and those screenwriters use all ways they can find to keep the drama out of your mind. In episode nine, they find a spy in the company. The spy, Mr. Dominic, comes from Agency, and his job is helping the dollhouse. In those old episodes, the government tried to stop the company, and the FBI tried to send this company to courthouse, but now, the dollhouse looks like a department under the CIA. CIA can get technology help from the dollhouse when they cannot finger out their problems in normal way. (Such as in episode six, Echo was sent to help the AFL) it is hard to make a definition about the dollhouse. Is it really a dark company, or an unpublicized government department?

In the episode, Mrs. Dewitt lost two important people in her life, Victor (her boyfriend) in her personal life and Mr. Dominic at work. At the end of this episode, she says “nothing I can’t never had.” She is a cold blood boss in this drama. She makes sure that Mr. Dominic has been clean when she gets a shoot. She built another killer to save Echo in episode four. She works hard for the company. The only way that she can release herself is hire her doll. When she decided to leave Victor, and let Roger (Victor’s other name) disappear in the world, she cries just like a little girl lost something. Mrs. Dewitt trusts nothing but herself on the world, and there must be something happened on her.

Blog 12：no school tomorrow！

Dollhouse SIE8, I do not know why I keep on this drama. Sometimes I feel that this drama is boring. It looks like repeat the same story every single episode: Dolls have been sent to different jobs. The only thing change is that some dolls begin to get their old memories back, such as Echo. She also builds friendship with Sierra in the Dollhouse. At the same time, it seems that there is another company exists in the world. That company can control dolls from very far distance. All those changes are micro, but they can cause different results on dolls. I keep on this drama because I really want to know the end, and the real end maybe will show up after several seasons.

At the end of E8, all dolls go out from their underground garage; warm sunshine on their faces, but their faces still clam. They do not know what happen on them. Echo thinks that every doll should feels happy after they get released from the dollhouse, but dolls feel no different than living underground. They are in their “empty” roles. They do not have any feeling about this world. The back ground music is very simple piano playing with simple singing, they sing that: “We stay because we don’t know where else to go.” It is very clear description about dolls’ lives. They stay in the Dollhouse because they all have past that they cannot handle. Just like Echo’s saying in the first episode: “I don’t have other choice, do I?” Dolls are trying to escape from the real world. They try to avoid those hurts come from the real world.

I begin to think that the dollhouse is a nice company. All those dolls have an unforgettable past. They can no handle their past stories by themselves. November lost her daughter in her really life. When November found her daughter’s tomb, she cannot control herself. However, November have a nice life in the Dollhouse. She falls in love with her neighborhood. She has a regular life like other people until she has been called back from the dollhouse. Same thing happens on Sierra and Echo. They do not want to face their past so they choose to go to the Dollhouse.

Blog 11

    Dollhouse S1E7, in this episode, bunch of dolls go into a campus. There is a drug problem happens in the campus. Dolls make up in different roles, such as CIA, doctors, security people. It is a little weird when I watch the drama. In the dollhouse, dolls see each other, but now they do not know each other anymore. Technology can change their memories, but it cannot change dolls’ feelings. When they work in campus, Victor always pays his attention on Sierra. I think that is a good example to proof the common saying: It is easy to control one person’s action, but it’s hard to control his heart.

    Same thing happens on Echo. In this episode, she follows her old memories, and went to the college. Those memories are separated in pieces, but she can clearly remember her boyfriend in her memories. All her reflections in the campus shows that she wants to save her boyfriend. She doesn’t know what happen, but she knows that her boyfriend is (was) in dangerous. She even rejects Langton’s suggestion: “Would you like to have a treatment.” Echo’s feeling about her boyfriend is stronger than those technologies in her brain. At the end of the campus drug accident, Echo tries to save the college student because she thinks he is her boyfriend. All those memories lead Echo back to the campus are about her boyfriend. Echo has been changed into millions of roles in dollhouse, but those memories cannot hurt Echo’s really feeling. People can remember other people in different ways, not just in their memories. Blind people can remember other people by their touching and smelling. Sometime people just have a familiar feeling on other peoples. Science sometime is not strong enough to explain those things happen in people’s brains.

I’m still following on the Dollhouse. I think this drama gives me a lot of options on my research paper. Every episode of dollhouse seems repeat the same story: dolls have been designed into different role, and help rich people finish their fantasies. However, there are a lot of questions hiding behind screen. Why people need to pay high [rice for a doll even they know dolls are nor true? Why the Dollhouse company can have good business? Why the FBI reject to believe the Dollhouse’s exist? How can the company handle those old dolls? Not all those answers can be found in the drama. Some of those maybe turn to be secrets forever.

In S1E6, more and more people live in LA know the dollhouse, and they all have their own ideas about this company. Some people thing the dollhouse is good because it can help people finish their fantasies. Some think the company is bad because it train dolls like slaves. There are lot of things happened in this episode, Sierra gets hurt from her partner. A rich man hires Echo to pretence as his girlfriend. The policeman finds Echo in the rich man’s house…. Everyone needs dolls for different reasons. Dolls are perfect in their eyes. Dolls can help them get their fantasies, and dolls will not remember what they did. They do not need to worry how to deal aftermath. Dolls will not “exist” any more after finish their jobs. They just like one-off bags, you do not need to worried where they go after you through them away.

Blog 9: this should be Blog 8!!

First, I want to say sorry. This blog should be posted on yesterday; I found my mistake on today’s afternoon when I read other people’s blogs. I hope it is not too late.

“High School is Hell”, I do not know too much about hell, and I like my high school. I had two years of high school in China, and two years in America. No matter where I had school, I enjoyed my school life. I meet some important friends in my high school. …I am too far away from the topic…“High School is Hell” is an article that talks about the TV drama Buffy, and those metaphors behind the screen. When I watch a drama, I like to pay attention on the drama’s result. I can sit several hours in front of my computer, and focus on the drama. However, I never think about those metaphors in drama. In another side, I never believe those things happen in dramas. I do not believe there are vampires in the world, so I do not believe those stories happen on vampires. I do not think there is Dollhouse in America. After I read the article, I began to realize that those stories happen in dramas maybe are really things happened in our life. Writers use the same story but put those stories on different roles. Writers want to tell us the dark side of the world in an interesting way. I never realized that there are so many things hide behind dramas. I cannot believe that someone can analyze those things and connect those stories with our real life. It is easy to enjoy those dramas, but it is hard to understand what the directors want to tell us from drama. Maybe I should spend more time on Dollhouse before I write my research paper.

Today I watched Dollhouse S1E5. Actually I do not like this episode. Echo has to o job for government, and the government hired Echo’s company because someone in the AFT makes up the message. He wants to get success so he sends a fake message by himself.

People are always a little selfish. When we do something, the first thing we thinking about is ourselves. Just like the policeman. He wants to catch the bad guy, so he made up the “save me” message. He does not care how many people will be killed in this case, he does not care those nice people follow the bad guy. He does not care what other people think about the nice guy now. He only trusts that the bad guy is still doing bad thing. Those people who follow the bad guy still believe the bad guy is their god. The bad guy saves them. Maybe the bad guy saved those people for some special target, but those farmers look really happy.

People always have two sides. Some people show their nice sides to public, but some people show the bad sides. No matter how bad that person is, he must have a nice that normal people cannot see.

From other people’s blog, I read that most people think dolls have poor lives. They cannot choose their own lives. However, I never think that way. Maybe some of those dolls need to do dangerous job, but they will forget those experiences after they finish those jobs. (Some of dolls can remember their past, such as Echo can remember the new girl) Most of dolls should spend their lives in jails if they stay in the normal world, and most of dolls choose to join the company by themselves. For example, (I do not know what happened on Echo before she became a doll.)Echo decided to be a doll because she needs to stay in jail for five years. She feels life she has no other choice in her life. She chooses to spend five years and have a clear background. It is too early to say what will happen on Echo after five years, but I think she will get what she wants.   

  

Blog 7: Nice snow today~~

Go bake to the Dollhouse. I watched the S1E4 today. In this episode, Echo is a super stealer. She is perfect at work. She makes every single step clearly and under her control. However, there is only one thing out of her plan. She goes back to Echo in half-way of her work. Someone clears those stealer’s special memories in her mind. She is not the super stealer any more. When Echo goes back to be herself, she is really scared about all things around her. She was locked in a basement, two men around her. One of them ties to kill himself, and another one tells her how to use a gun.

 This is the first time I see Echo has a job without any memories. Without those stories in her mind, Echo just like a new born baby. In most part of this TV drama, dolls are perfect. They have the different abilities to fit for their job environments. Dolls know what to do when they are under their wonderful roles, and most of time people only enjoy dolls’ perfect side. However, without any special memories, dolls are just like a new-born baby. They cannot protect themselves no matter what happened on them. They have the ability to walk and run, but they do not know what they need to do that. In the last episode, most dolls are killed by No. 1, but they cannot against him (her). Dolls have no definition about those things happened around her. Echo does not know what is bad. She cannot believe that she is a bad girl when one man tells her. She can easily understand those famous paintings, but she cannot save herself. She has the ability to touch the world but she is not welcome for the world.

Blog 6：Dollhouse S1E3

I really enjoy Dollhouse. At the beginning, I just watch it as homework, but now I want to finish the first season as soon as possible. I want to know the result.

S1E3, in this episode, Echo has been built like a singer, or a background singer. Her job is to protect the main key. The main key always gets attack from her No. 1 fan. The most incredible thing is that the she designed all those attacks, and she wishes the she can get freedom after she die.

People always want to get freedom. There are too many rules that people needs to follow. Such as you can not kill somebody, or steal other people’s stuff. Policeman will send to jell. People also need to follow some underground rules. Such as never against your boss even you think your boss is not a smart guy. Those rules make people feel stressful. Everyone wants to find a way to escape those rules. However, most of people still need to follow rules. I am not going to complain those rules, and how poor is my life. I wish that everyone can find their own way to enjoy those rules. Die is not a good choice because no one knows what will happen after they die. Maybe there are also some rules in heaven. No matter where we go, rules play a very important role in our life. They make our life under control. If you live in a country that has no laws to protect your personal security, you need to worry about everyone round you because they have the ability to kill you in every second. So, rules are always good for us, and we should find out a way to fit those rules.

It is Sunday today. Hard to believe that I finished my first weekend. School comes back tomorrow morning in cold weather. I will have a quiz on Monday and another one on Tuesday. (~~Welcome to Facebook~~)

Today’s drama, Dollhouse S1E2. I want to say something about relations between people. There are lots of things happened in this episode. The most impressive part for me is the relationship between Langton and Echo. Langton is Echo’s guider. He needs to look after Echo when she is working, and gives Echo necessary help. Under any kinds of situation, Echo has to trust Langton. This kind of relationship was built by computer at the beginning. Langton thought Echo is not a human being. In his eyes Echo is just an empty hat, and her value depends on what kind of rabbit that scientist put in. No one will trust a hat, and pay attention on what the hat says. Langton takes pity on Echo because most of time Echo looks like a frangible china doll. Echo always trusts Langton, but she never gets reflection from Langton. However, in this episode, when Langton gets shoot and Echo asks for his trust. It is the first time Langton trust Echo , and let she finish her job independently. This case changes the relationship between Langton and Echo. They became partners. Echo gets Langton’s trust and she will trusts Langton forever.

Not everyone can get that kind of relationship between Echo and Langton. It takes a long time to build this kind of relationship, and most of time, people fail on it. For example, children do not trust their parents, and some parents try to design their children’s future. Parents think that children know nothing about the real world, and children always think that parents are out of date. Some people can find “hundred percent trust” on their friends, and some of these relationships keeps for a long time. I like to have “hundred percent trust” with some people. No matter what happen, they will definitely truth me. It will save me a lot of time on explanation, and makes life easier.

Blog 4：Dollhouse

Thinking about one day you lost all your memories, no matter what you did before, you will not remember them anymore. Sounds like cool, you will forget all sadness and unhappy stuff.

Dollhouse is a place that collects some people who should be sent into jails. Dollhouse rebuilt these people’s memories, and let dolls to do different kinds of job. Dolls can play any kinds of roles. They live in the dollhouse together, and only have memories about their jobs. Scientists put their role memories in their brains, and let them work as their roles. After dolls finish their job, their roles’ memories will be clean.

I do not know how many things people can remember, but sometimes those memories impact our lives. In the episode, Echo (Penn) made a wrong decision on her case when she meets those abductors. She knows what will happen on the girl because she has been abducted by one of abductors in her memories. Even those memories never happened on her body, but she can feel scared when her faces the abductor.

Memories are very important for people, and some people like to share their memories. Memories just like a biography that people write for themselves. From our memories, we know what we have done, and where we have gone. We remembered our friends and classmates. When people get sad, thinking about happy memories can help him feel happiness again. Some people can avoid or forget their unhappy memories. When somebody lose their memories, that means he lose all their old lives. It is hard to say what will happen on dolls after they finish their lives in dollhouse. I hope they can get their old memories back, and go back to their old lives.  

Blog 3：The Train Job, again

The train job, again.

Many movies talk about people’s future. Most of those moves say that people will move to another star, and have completely new life there. No matter where we move, the world still has two sides, positive side and negative side. Some people are always on the bad side. Such as Niska, he kills people if they cannot finish their jobs and never thinks those things are bad. Some people are positive, just like Inara.

Capital Mal is a person who lives between positive and negative. I like to describe him as a “grey” guy. He does business with Niska. He do not care what Niska ask he to steal. It seems that he only care how much money he can get from those businesses. He also likes to help people. He let the doctor hides in his spaceship and decided to return those boxes when he knows what actually in there. He just likes the color between black and white, not always white and not always black. At the end of the train job, the old policeman says” …when he know all those details and situations like us, he has a choice. ”. Cal’s answer is “I don’t believe he does”. He still cannot have a clearly definition about himself. He is still a grey man, and he may still needs to do business with bad guy. In this episode, Cal is a hero for those sick people, but he is not a heron for himself.

People not always make positive choice. We do different things for living. We know those decisions are wrong but we still do it. Sometimes we make decisions just because we do not have other choice.

Blog 2: About "The Train Job"

First snow in 2011! It is nice to see those snowflakes falling down from sky, and enjoying the terrible traffic on my way home. Happy snow day!

I just finished the firefly stuff three minutes ago. Library’s DVD did not work very well, so I searched online. I do not know what people call it firefly, but it is a good drama. Like most Howell’s famous movies, this drama talks about people’s life on other star. However, in this drama, people who live on other star actually stay in the same environment as Earth. They do not need to walk outside in spacesuit.

This episode talks about people’s choices. They can choose to keep going on their business, and no one will know what actually happened. However, that was not what usually happened in drama. When Mal faces such a problem, he chooses to follow his heart. No matter what will happen in the future, Mal decided to do things that he believes is right.

It is hard for people to keep follow their hearts. People usually change their minds just because “My friend says…” or “My mom told me…”. People do not make decision by themselves, they like to follow other people’s direction, and complain about their decision later in their lives. Just like you cannot make a decision between chicken combo and beef combo. You ask your friend to help you make a decision, and later you began to complain that you friend’s choice is not right. Everyone has the right to make their own choices, and please never give up this right. Making your own decision about your own life, and follow your heart. No matter what will happen in the future, you choose it by yourself.

Today is the fifth day of 2011, and the third day of winter quarter.

As you see in the blog’s title, my name is Mu Lin. This blog is for my English class. If you are also in the English 110 class, please leave your comments here.

        It is not nice to come back to campus in such cold weather, and having classes in early morning. However, it is nice to meet new friends in new classes. This is my first year in the Ohio State University, and my major is pre-business.
       I came from Dalian, China. It is a very small city in the north-east part of China, and it only takes you one hour’s flight from my hometown to Beijing, two hours to Shanghai. My hometown is a very beautiful city, and famous for seafood. So I was a little disappointed when I came to Ohio, because there is no fresh seafood here. I like sea seafood, and I like almost all kinds of food. Eating is not only for survival, but also for happiness.
        I’m a college student, but I do not want to spend all my times on textbooks. Life is not just textbooks. I do not have special interest, but I like to try different things that I have never done. I learned how to do skate board last summer, and tried to use it to between classes. I learn how to make traditional Chinese food several years ago, and I almost forget everything about that. I tried to write my own novel, and finally I know that to be a writer is not a good choice for me. I tried to have different kinds of life experiences before I get old. Those different experiences keep my life in fresh, and let me know that I am just a normal person. There still a lot of things I want to learn in the future. I am not a good writer, but I like to write down my life in my own words.
